Shutting down vacation mode

I have not written an entry in a long time because I have trouble recalling details of things that I would like to blog about. Now, the last day vacation I found the time to write something that really hit me hard.

The 2008 holiday season has been a blast for me. It all started with my grandmother's 80th birthday where almost all of us grandchildren were able to attend. It was a fun experience because it was the first time again that we were able to be together since we were small. I remember summers ago where almost all of us would spend it at our grandmother's house doing a lot of activities and things together; and to be able to enjoy spending time with them was really a blast. As we got older some them started moving to the other parts of the world. We would now only see the once every some number of years. So this gathering of us all was just one of a kind.

A few days later, it was Christmas eve. It was the usual dinner plus the fun of being together as a family. Unlike other years, this time since a lot are here, we were a lot more. We don't expect gifts anymore since we grew out of the time where all of us received gifts from aunts. Now its more of a bonding moment for all of us.

In between Christmas and New Year were some rest days. It was the usual sleep as much as you can days. When New Year came, it was a new experience witnessing it unfold in a rainy night at the Fort. It was better than others since for the first time, in 2 years that I was not sick. It happens yearly and this year was better.

Now as everything has ended, it time to return to the real world. Time to go back to work tomorrow will be a start another year a work. Hopefully there will be a lot of new experiences like the previous one.
